Abby is the star of the week. She is good at drawing, painting, handwriting, and reading.  Mrs Debney said she never had to remind Abby of what to do. Tess said she always plays with different things. Her friends are Mila, Cora-Mae, Tess, Melody and Hannah. 

We are learning about time. We are learning the days of the week and months of the year. We are learning when our birthdays are.  

Sanneev is the star of the week.  

Lots of the children said Sanneev is good at making things, like dinosaurs. He was a good help in Naigo in our very busy performance week. Sanneev was very enthusiastic about the Kapa Haka performance! Piyaja, Rajbir and Oliver M like to play with Sanneev.

Mrs Lincoln came and painted some faces for alphabet afternoon. It was fun to look like a giraffe for the afternoon. Thank you, Mrs Linclon!

Izzy has been the Star of the week for Week six. Izzy tries very hard with her Handwriting, her Reading and Art. Khen and Livia said Izzy is good at making things out of paper, like Love Hearts. She likes making new friends and says she has lots of friends, Hannah, Livia, Mila and Shannvi.

Friday was bike day. It was a beautiful sunny and we whizzed around on our bikes and scooters. 

Our star of the week for week 5 is Emma

The children in Ngaio say that Emma works really hard in class. She always remembers to her classroom jobs. Tess says Emma is a 

very nice girl, she plays with all her friends in a very kind way! Emma says her friends are 

Zyana, Roman, Frances, Tess and Hazel.

     

Today we were thinking Green. We thought of a new idea for the big book. Emma, Samantha  Bria and Izzy were playing. 

Lyrik, Sanneev, Tess and Frances were combing.  

Zyana is the star of the week. Mrs Debney says she is a very helpful person and the children in Ngaio agree. Hannah thinks Zyana is good with her poi. She wears her hair in a plait and it always looks neat. Zyana says her friends are Samantha, Livia, Hannah and Eunice.

Samantha is the star of the week.  Samantha is a good reader. She reads extra books with Mrs Reed. She is also good at painting and handwriting. Samantha likes to play with the blocks. 

She is good at making friends. They are Livia, Shaanvi and Melody.

 

Bria was our star of the week for Week two of Term 4. The children think she is good at writing her name now, she worked really hard to for her letter a correctly. She always brings her Homework in to be marked. She likes to go on Mathletics, at home and at school. Bria looks after her friends when they are sad or hurt. Her friends are Mila, Zyana, Frances and Emma.

Our first star of the week for Term 4 was Tess. Tess is good at doing things speedily. She is very good at reading and handwriting. Tess is very careful with all her work! Tess is a kind friend to Frances, Freya, Hazel, Emma and Mila. She has been an amazing ‘Star of the Week’ in a very busy week in Ngaio. 

The girls were very busy after writing.

On Wednesday Giovanni came and talked to us about animals.  

At alphabet afternoon Mrs Lincoln came and painted monster faces. Look at Piyaja!

On Friday Hannah got a Board of Trustees award from Mrs Arthur.  
She is a great Newlands School citizen. 

On Friday we said goodbye to Alfie.

 He is going to a new school next term 

Freya is the star of the week. 

Sanneev said Freya is not shy. Someone else said she always has her hair tied up nicely.  Freya is good at Reading and Writing. Mrs Reed said she always works hard.  Freya likes to play on the Ipads. Her friends are Frances, Hazel, Tess,  Addison and Emma.

Today we came to school in Mufti. We wore green and gave a gold coin to the Woodridge Planters. 

We are winners again. 

Rajbir won the Mathlete of the week.

 He put his name in the box 7 times because he got more than 3500 points. Congratulations Rajbir!

This morning Eunice had her Ballet exam. She looked beautiful. 

Euncie was given a rose. the rose was beautiful too. 

Nate is the star of the week. He likes to work on the ipads, his favourite is Monster Maths. He is a quiet thinker in out class and gets on with his work. Nate is really good at reading.
His friends are Toby, Abdur-Rafeh and Alfie.

The star of the week is Addison. She is good at making friends and she likes to play with her friends. Addison likes to help in the classroom, she helps to clear away the toys.She is good at reading and painting.
Her friends are Dillon, Roman and Rorie.
